The Flickering Flame
Master Storyteller, Kamini Ramachandran, is back by popular demand as part of the third edition of ARTWALK Little India 2017.
ARTWALK Little India is a multidisciplinary arts festival set around Singapore's historic Little India precinct from 12 to 17 January 2017. Returning with its 3rd Edition as a collaboration between LASALLE College of the Arts and Singapore Tourism Board with the support of Little India Shopkeepers and Heritage Association, this year's theme Your Path To Remember leads you into a time warp of memories and stories that are waiting for you to uncover.
Step into an old shophouse in Little India and follow the flames that light the stairs. Be seated at dusk beside the storyteller surrounded by shadows. Travel back in time as she breathes life into folk tales and ancient myth from India. For a moment be still, be dazzled and believe.
Storytelling suitable for audiences aged 16 years and above.
Storytelling sessions will be followed up by a Saree draping activity where the audience will be able to take pictures wearing the Saree.
